A new network for East Devon

Broadcast regulator Ofcom has announced that East Devon is to be among the areas to get a new DAB radio network.

ExeDab is planning to apply to run the service, just as we do in Exeter.

The proposed coverage area for East Devon overlaps with our existing network and we will attempt to cover as many of the 135,000 residents as we can, whilst keeping the service affordable for small broadcasters.

Our consortium includes Devon’s Radio Exe, Phonic FM and Riviera FM, and we are to be joined by Sidmouth-based Sid Valley Radio.

Support our application

If you would like to see local broadcasting kept in local hands, ExeDab can promise that. Our team has a proven track record in launching and operating local stations in Devon, and we’re all local people committed to the area.

Include your station in our application

We welcome expressions of interest from radio stations who wish to broadcast on DAB in East Devon. We can’t say exactly what our coverage area will be, nor even that we will be awarded the licence to operate the service,  but we do commit to fair and transparent terms that will be based on our existing Exeter rate card.
